Privacy Policy

Bax exists to help families care for the people they love. We treat the information you entrust to us as exactly that — a trust. We do not sell your data, and we do not use private family data to train public AI models.

We collect the information you choose to add to Bax, such as profiles for your loved ones, medications, appointments, documents, notes, and updates from your Care Circle. We also collect basic account information (like your email address) and limited technical data needed to operate the service securely and reliably.

We use your information to provide Bax's features — organizing records, answering your questions from the information you've saved, and keeping your Care Circle in sync. We do not use your private family data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate the service (for example, secure infrastructure providers) or as required by law.

When you ask Bax a question, answers are generated from the information your family has saved and are kept inside your private Care Circle. Bax helps organize and explain information; it does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a medical professional.

You decide who joins your Care Circle and what each member can see or do. You can review, correct, or remove information at any time from within Bax.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the service. When you remove information or close your account, we delete the associated data in accordance with our standard deletion processes, except where we are required to keep certain records to meet legal or security obligations.

You can request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time by emailing hello@askbax.ai. Once your request is verified, we remove your account and the personal information associated with it, other than limited records we may be required to retain. If you are a member of someone else's Care Circle, the account owner controls the information shared within that Circle.

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate Bax securely. These fall into categories such as cloud hosting and storage, database infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, and product analytics. These providers process data only on our behalf and under agreements that require appropriate confidentiality and security. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Bax is intended for adults coordinating care for a loved one and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A caregiver may add information about a minor they care for; that information is treated with the same protections as any other information in the Care Circle.

We may update this policy as Bax evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of Bax after an update means you accept the revised policy.
